We'd like you to get the most out of your visit to the IKEA Museum in Älmhult, so we've gathered all the information you need to help you plan your trip here.

Opening hours

The IKEA Museum, The Kitchen restaurant and the shop

Open daily 10-18

1 June–31 August, open daily 10–19.

Closed: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Midsummer’s Eve and Midsummer’s Day.

Please note, the restaurant serves hot meals until 30 minutes before closing. Welcome!

You do not have to pay admission fee to visit our shop or restaurant.

Guided tours

During July and August we offer free guided tours daily. 11.45 and 14.45 in English. 11.30 and 14.30 in Swedish. Reservation is not required and the tour is included in your admission fee.

Between September and June, the tours are held every Saturday and Sunday and only in Swedish.

Practical information

Accessibility

The IKEA Museum has been designed to be accessible to everyone. Visitors in wheelchairs and with walking aids can move freely from floor to floor, through the exhibitions, and in the shop and restaurant.

At the IKEA Musuem you will also find:

  • Accessible toilets on each floor.
  • Two especially roomy toilets.
  • Wheelchairs that can be borrowed.

There is an assistive listening hearing loop in our classroom. In the parking lot there are a number of parking spaces for visitors with special accessibility needs.

WIFI

Our wifi is freely available for the duration of your visit.

For visitors with children

You will be able to move freely with your pram from floor to floor, through the exhibitions, and in the shop and restaurant.

You will also have access to:

  • Pram parking on the basement level
  • Toilets with changing tables
  • Two especially roomy toilets
  • Accessible toilets
  • A nursing room
