Smart design is born when we see the world through the eyes of others. Welcome to EveryBody – an exhibition about the body, inclusive design, and a simpler everyday life for everybody. The exhibition at IKEA Museum in Älmhult, Sweden, opens on 7 November 2019.
“This is an important exhibition for us at IKEA Museum, as it is our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people. EveryBody is a thought-provoking exhibition where visitors are invited to challenge their senses,” says Anna Sandberg Falk, exhibition curator at IKEA Museum.
The exhibition is an evolution of last year’s IKEA event “Meet the Experts + Omtänksam” in New York. At the EveryBody exhibition in Älmhult, visitors can see and hear stories about what it’s like to live with variable ability. Subjects include inspirer Aron Anderson, Fatmir Seremeti, former player in the Swedish goalball team, journalist Yasmin Nilson and lecturer Mikael Andersson, all of whom tell us about their everyday challenges.
The exhibition also shows inclusive design from IKEA, such as the OMTÄNKSAM collection, SOMMAR2019 and ThisAbles. Lectures, workshops and other activities related to inclusive design will be on while the exhibition is running.
The EveryBody exhibition is on at IKEA Museum in Älmhult, Sweden, 7 November 2019 – 2 February 2020.
