Throughout the school break, curious children can wander around the museum taking on some clever challenges: find answers and count steps, meatballs and letters! Completing all the challenges reveals a secret code that can be exchanged for a delicious ice lolly at KÖKET restaurant. Pick up a challenge form in the entrance lobby.

The Story of IKEA is an exciting journey through history for visitors of all ages. During school Christmas break, the museum’s knowledgeable guides offer open tours daily. Read more here.

VERKSTAN

The Christmas break is full of fun crafting in our VERKSTAN creative workshop. Cut and paste to your heart’s content with different materials, shapes and colours. Open 10:00–14:00 on the following dates: 27/12, 28/12, 30/12, 5/1 and 10/1.
Accompanied by an adult, up to age 13.

Holiday sports in VR

Step into a virtual world of digital sports adventures. VR games for all the senses and people of all ages – a nice change of pace for sedentary gamers. Open 15:30–17:00 on the following dates: 27/12 and 3/1.

Meet Legomasters Live

David Gustafsson and Rickard Stensby are two of Sweden’s best Lego builders – they won Swedish Legomasters Live in 2020. Don’t miss this chance to meet them at IKEA Museum on 4 January, 10:00–15:00. If you love Lego, this is the perfect opportunity to become a genuine Legomaster. The BYGGLEK Lego boxes at the museum will of course be filled up to the brim for this occasion!

Discover Hagberg + Hagberg

Join a special tour of Hagberg + Hagberg, Wednesday 29/12 and 7/1, 10:30–12:30. An exciting insight into the legendary design siblings, for all ages. After touring the exhibition, you can create the room of your dreams – your imagination is the only limit!

Eat well at KÖKET restaurant
