Discover IKEA Museum with the whole family. Spring means Easter, and Easter means colour. During the Easter break, we’ll be focusing extra on the most colourful and stylishly designed products in our exhibitions. In the VERKSTAN workshop, you can create Easter shawls from recycled fabrics of different colours and patterns, and in our play corner you can put on some VR goggles and experience ingenious games in colourful environments. Basically, Easter at IKEA Museum promises a colour-dazzling visit for the whole family.

Colour and design fun

Exciting design and bright colours have been features of many IKEA products over the years. Take your own voyage of discovery through the exhibitions, on a hunt for colourful and joyfully designed objects. After your quest, you have the chance to create your own winner’s medal as a souvenir.

Every day 10:00–18:00

Egg hunt

There are fun things happening this Easter also outside the museum. We have hidden a number of ‘letter-eggs’ around the area. Once you’ve found them, put them in the right order to make a word. Show the word inside the museum and you’ll have the chance to make your own winner’s medal as a souvenir.

Collect a map from the museum. The map will help you navigate around the various places to find the letter-eggs.

Every day 10:00–18:00

Join a guided tour

Let our knowledgeable guides take you around the museum. They talk about how Swedish people furnished their homes before IKEA came along, and how life at home has evolved since then. No advance booking necessary. Numbers are limited on each tour.

Date: 9–10 April and 16–17 April
Time: 11:30–12:15 (Swedish) and 14:30–15:15 (English).
