IKEA Hacked. Our Products. Your Ideas.

What happens when IKEA products are made into art? Or completely new design objects? At the new IKEA Museum exhibition, you will come face to face with works by international artists, architects and designers – all of whom use IKEA products as materials in their work. Some of them will be working on site here at the exhibition, and you are welcome to have a go yourself!

Creative workshop

Our workshop is open every Saturday and Sunday. Unleash your creativity and create together. Access is included in the entrance fee and opening hours are the same as for the museum.

Barbeque / Äfterwork

The barbeque is on! (if it is allowed by then). Otherwise we will cook inside, just as usual. You can choose between meats, chicken, halloumi and combine with different grazing menus from our buffet. SEK 129.

Welcome on a guided tour!

Every day we have guided tours in the main exhibition in English 12.00 and 15.00. (11.30 and 14.30 in Swedish). 

During August we also offer guided tours in German. These are given Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. They start at 11.00.

We also offer guided tour in the temporary exhibition (IKEA Hacked. Our products. Your ideas.) Every day at 14.00 in English. 13:30 in Swedish. Welcome!

IKEA Hacked: 128 variations of IDOLF

Artist Helmut Smits from the Netherlands invites you to join in when he puts together 128 different combinations of the chair IDOLF. 64 white and 64 black IDOLF chairs will be used. Helmut will be working in the IKEA Museum entrance - watch or join!
