Opening hours

The IKEA Museum, KÖKET restaurant and the shop 10-18

Closed: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Midsummer’s Eve (21 June) and Midsummer’s Day (22 June).

Please note, the restaurant serves hot meals from 11.30.

You do not have to pay admission fee to visit our shop or restaurant.

Guided tours

1 September - 30 June:
Every Saturday and Sunday at 11.30 and 14.30 in Swedish.

1 July - 31 August:
Every day at 11.30 in Swedish and 14.30 in English.

Reservation is not required and the tours are included in the admission fee.

Practical information


The IKEA Museum has been designed to be accessible to everyone. Visitors in wheelchairs and with walking aids can move freely from floor to floor, through the exhibitions, and in the shop and restaurant.

At the IKEA Musuem you will also find:

  • Accessible toilets on each floor.
  • Two especially roomy toilets.
  • Wheelchairs that can be borrowed.

There is an assistive listening hearing loop in our classroom. In the parking lot there are a number of parking spaces for visitors with special accessibility needs.

Our WiFi is freely available for the duration of your visit.

For visitors with children

You will be able to move freely with your pram from floor to floor, through the exhibitions, and in the shop and restaurant.

You will also have access to:

  • Pram parking on the basement level
  • Toilets with changing tables
  • Two especially roomy toilets
  • Accessible toilets
  • A nursing room


We cannot allow pets in the museum because of allergies, but you can of course bring your service dog.
