Our workshop is open every day during summer. Unleash your creativity and create together. Take inspiration from our exhibition Textile Playground and its pattern theme. Access is included in the entrance fee and opening hours are the same as for the museum.
Welcome to free guided tours every day. Tours in English starts 11.45 and 14.45 (11.30 and 14.30 in Swedish). The tour takes about one hour, is included in your admission fee and requires no reservation.
Get to know Ellen Key
Ellen Key is considered as one of the most influential persons within the field of Swedish interior design in the early 20th century. The book "Skönhet för alla" from 1899 is Ellen's manifesto. In the book she describes the importance of space, light and function to create harmonious and healthy homes.
Now you have the opportunity to meet Hedda Jansson, responsible for the Ellen Key Institute among other things. You will learn more about Ellen Keys book, influences and much more. Welcome to the classroom at IKEA Museum at 15.00. The seminar (in Swedish) is included in the entrance fee. The book "Skönhet för alla” is available in our shop.
Meet Lena van Heuven, store manager at IKEA Älmhult. Lena will talk about IKEA’s sustainability work with focus on products, food, energy and social initiatives. The lecture is held in Swedish in the Classroom at IKEA Museum at 17.00 and is included in the admission fee.
