Curious about Free Embroidery? Whether you’ve never picked up an embroidery needle before or you’re looking to refresh your skills, this workshop is a great place to begin.
Together with Alicia Sivertsson – an artist and certified embroiderer, we will explore the materials, tools and techniques commonly used in free embroidery. Through simple, hands-on exercises, you’ll experiment with different fabrics, threads and stitches while exploring colour, texture and composition to find your own creative expression.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your own embroidered piece, along with a solid introduction to free embroidery and hopefully, plenty of inspiration to continue stitching on your own.
The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as anyone looking to rediscover their creativity or revisit the basics.
All materials are provided—you only need to bring your curiosity.
