Our opening hours are 10:00–18:00 every day. Check the Visit section for more details.

Admission to the museum costs 60 SEK for adults and 55 SEK for seniors aged 60+. Admission is free for children under 18 and IKEA employees.

You can’t book tickets in advance but we do have a large capacity for visitors. We sometimes arrange special workshops and events, either free or paid, which may require advance booking. If so, that information will be published in the What’s on section.

We are happy to offer tours with our inspiring, knowledgeable guides. Open tours are available and included in admission for individual visitors and small groups. Check times for open tours under What’s on. We also offer more in-depth tours for small and large groups that should be booked in advance. Please visit our Guided Tours section to find out more.

Yes you can. We have several charging stations in the museum car park, which are activated after you’ve paid the admission fee to the museum.

If you use a wheelchair, walking aid or pushchair, you can move freely between all floors, through the exhibitions, and around the shop and restaurant. We have accessible toilets on several floors, and two of them are extra spacious. There are wheelchairs to borrow if required. The car park has several spaces for visitors with special accessibility needs. Please contact us if you would like to know more about accessibility at IKEA Museum.

Our exhibitions are interactive and fun for curious minds of all ages, and our restaurant offers children’s meals. In addition, you can find fun and inspiring products for children in the museum shop.

You certainly can. Our exhibitions contain rooms and home environments furnished with original IKEA furniture and objects from the 1950s up until today.

Much of what has been sold at IKEA has been included in an IKEA catalogue. All Swedish catalogues 1950–2021 have been digitised, which means you can search for items you’re interested in to get basic information, such as the product name and price. If you can’t find a product yourself, we may be able to help you.

IKEA Museum does not have assembly instructions or spare parts for any products. If you need help assembling your IKEA furniture, please access instructions at IKEA.com.

IKEA Museum is happy to help with questions regarding the history of IKEA, but we do not make valuations. In Sweden, IKEA stores can value and sometimes buy your second-hand IKEA products for resale in stores, and in the first IKEA second-hand shop at ReTuna, Eskilstuna. If this service is not available near you, we suggest you check an auction site or contact an auction house if you would like to find out the second-hand value of an IKEA product.
